1. International Competitions
covered by RULE 5, paras 1-4,7,8,and 10 shall compr ise at least a
first round,semi-final and final .The semi-final must always b e
danced in two heats in International Competitions covered by Rule
5,paras 1 and 2 and in International Competitions with a size of
the floor less than 250 square metres.
NO more than 10 couples
should dance in each heat of a competition round, up to the
quarter-final in International Competitions covered by Rule
5,paras 1 and 2 and in International Competitions with a size of
the floor less than 25 0 square metres. Open marking shall be
reserved for finals.
2. In IDSF World Championships,IDSF
Continental Championships and IDSF World Ran king tournaments with
an entry of more than 20 couples the re-dance system sh all apply
from the first round. Two qualifying rounds shall be held to allow
all couples the opportunity of dancing twice.The chairman shall
decide the nu mber of couples to be re-callde of the both
qualifying rounds. The first 12 couples of the actual IDSF
Computer World Ranking List enter the IDSF World Championships at
the 1/8 final of the competitions (these couples have not to dance
in the first round).
3. At least 50% of participating couples
shall be re-called to the next round ex cluding the FINAL.This
provision does not apply for IDSF World Ranking Tourna ments.
4. International Ten Dance Competitions shall comprise no more
than first round, redance,semi-final and final.The provision under
para 3 above does not apply.
5. In all IDSF World and IDSF
Continental Championships (only age group "Adult")t he
"revised competition format"must be used.Additional
there is the possibili ty to usethis format in all IDSF granted
competitions (only age group "Adult" )if the national
IDSF member association applies for using this format,effect ive
1st January 2000."Revised competition format" means the
provision of two (2) solo dances, one (1) at the beginning and
another one (1) at the end of t he final of each discipline,with
each couple performing for one (1) minute in each solo dance,and
that all couples return to the floor after the solo dance s for a
further one (1) final minute of group competition in that dance.
6. In finals adjudicators shall place couples.1 is the best
place marking.The sa me placing must not be given to more than one
couple.
7. In international competitions under Rule 5,para
1-4,7,8 and 10,no more than 6 couples should participate in the
final ,but if more than 6 couples qualify,t he chairman will
decide on the number of participate.
8. Open marking,shall be
used in the final of international competitions under R ule 5
paras 1-4,7 and 8.The Skating System shall be employed.
9. In
International Competitions under Rule 5,paras 1-4,7 and 8,the
organizer mu st display marking sheets upon conclusion of the
competition.
10. Team Matches (incl.International Tema
Matches) Marking:
In each round open marking shall be
employed,couples being assessed as 1,1 1/ 2,2 1/2,3."1"
being the best mark.
For equal performance,identical markings
may be given.In all dances the same couples must always dance
against each other.Interchange of couples is not al lowed
. The
marks shall be added together to produce a result.
RULE 8
Reimbursement of expenses(effective from January 1.1995)
The
mimimum reimbursement of expenses to Competition Couples,Chairmen
and Adjudi cators for all IDSF Competitions,will be agreed by the
Presidium. Members will be notitfied in advance.
All IDSF
Competitions are subject to the following mimimum
allowances:
1. CHAIRMEN and ADJUDICATORS
Travel expenses:
1st class rail
fare home-competition-home,or
air fare up to a maximum of CHF
2.000,-in a
convertible currency.
Accomodation:
Hotel
accomodation with breakfast up to two
nights.A lump sum of CHF
100,-must be paid in
convertible currency(effective
1.01.99).
2. COMPETITION COUPLES
(For competitions,covered under RULE
5,para 1,2,
3,5,7,8)
Travel expenses:
No compulsory
reimbursements.
Organizers may make payments toward expenses at
their discr etion.
Accomodation:
Hotel accomodation with
breakfastup to two
nights.
A lump sum of CHF 100,-must be paid
for all
couples.
3.FORMATION COMPETITIONS
(RULE 5,para 1 and 2)
Travel expenses:
No compulsory reimbursements.
Organizers
may make payments toward expenses at
their descret ion
Accomodation:
Hotel accomodation for two nights with breakfast
must be paid to each Formation team (max.20
persons /team).
Int.Invitation Comp:
(RULE 5,para 6)
The reimbursements of participants shall be
subject to agreement between the Member
Associations concerned.
4. WORLD RANKING TOURNAMENTS
(RULE
5,para 4,b),c),d)
Travel expenses:
No compulsory reimbursements.
Organizers may make payments toward expenses at
their discre tion.
Accomodation:
Couples must make and pay
their own Hotel
arrangements.
Organizers may pay for Hotel
arrangements at
their discretion.
Entry Fee:
Organizers may
collect a cash ENTRY FEE up to
CHF 40,-per couple i n a
convertible currency,
specified by the organizer.

CUP:

Putting two age-groups
together,such as Juvenile Ⅰand Ⅱ as well as Junior Ⅰan d Ⅱ

Youth couples are allowed to compete
in Adult competitions if wanted.
In all age sections one
partner of a couple can be younger,except in Senior sect ion.
The Rule 11 was approved by the G.M. 1995(Bratislava) and
confirmed by the G.M. 1996 (Lausanne).
The table as given above
will make easier the understanding of RULE 11.
This regulation
enables couples and trainers to plan on a long term basis becaus e
the classification of competitions doesn't depend on their
birthday but on the year of their birth.It is usual in many of
